Thank you for your interest in The Texas Institute for Teacher
Education, an academic organization committed to transforming
public education through the preparation of professional
educators equipped to positively impact the academic achievement
of K-12 students. The teaching profession is rapidly changing due
to the increasing diversity of the student population, the
comprehensive focus on data-driven and research-based
pedagogical practices, and the growing interest in linking
teacher performance/compensation to student achievement. To meet
the demands of the changing teaching profession, the Institute
trains professional educators to teach K-12 students, especially
those with diverse cultural, linguistic, and exceptional learning
needs. Our graduates develop the pedagogical and content
expertise, professional skills, and intrinsic dispositions to
positively impact the academic achievement of all students.
Throughout public and private school districts across Texas and
the nation, our graduates are making a positive difference in the
lives of students with unique learning needs and playing an
integral role in the transformation of K-12 education.
If you share our sense of urgency about transforming K-12 education and aspire to serve as a professional educator equipped to meet the learning needs of all students, we welcome your application to the Educator Preparation Program at The Texas Institute for Teacher Education. |
