The Research and Evaluation Department at The Texas Institute for Teacher Education conducts quantitative/qualitative studies, grant requests, and program evaluations in partnership with local, state, and national educational agencies, institutions of higher education, educator preparation programs, and non-profit/for-profit educational organizations. The primary objective of the department is to contribute to the knowledge base of the education field by rigorously investigating innovative educational practices, curricula, and programs. The department's research agenda specifically targets experimental and quasi-experimental inquiries relevant to the education of public school students with diverse cultural, linguistic, and exceptional learning needs.
